| Pastoral da Criança signs accord with the
Government of RS State
Pastoral da Criança will be on this August 13th
at 14 o’clock, at the State Governments headquarters,
the Piratini Palace, for the signature of the Accord
between the Health Secretary and Pastoral da Criança/RS.
There will be present at the ceremony the State’s Governor,
Mr. Germano Rigootto; State Health Secretary, Mr. Osmar
Terra; Pastoral da Criança National Coordinator,
Dr. Zilda Arns Neumann; Dom Dadeus Grings, Porto Alegre
Archbishop; Dom Friedrich Heimler, sdb, RS Pastoral
da Criança Reference Bishop; Rosalina Stefano,
Pastoral da Criança State Coordinator and also
the other State Government and Pastoral da Criança
leaderships. The goal of the Accord is to establish
joint actions to do the basic actions of health, education,
social assistance, nutrition and citizenship at the
assisted communities, reducing infant and mother mortality.
According to Rosalina Stefanelo, Pastoral da Criança
State Coordinator, this Accord will be important to
increase at 10% at the state, the Pastoral da Criança
area of performance and the number of children and families
assisted.
