From the very beginning, the Pastoral da Criança has always been concerned about tracking and evaluating, step by step, the results of all actions developed, as a way to set its goals and motivate the volunteers through their own achievements in the communities. Therefore, the Pastoral da Criança has developed an effective information system which issues reports on the health of children and pregnant women in each of the 32 thousand communities where it acts.

The leaders of each community files a monthly report, the FABS Folha de Acompanhamento e Avaliação Mensal das Ações Básicas de Saúde (Monthly Statistics and Evaluation of Basic Health Actions Sheet) which is sent to the National Coordination, in the city of Curitiba, state of Paraná. The FABS has information about the children and pregnant women participating in the programs in each of the communities.

The National Coordination enters and organizes the information in its computer databases, asses the data and returns it to the communities every quarter, generating a report that congratulates at each goal met by the team, or also gives guidelines to help improve the actions that need reinforcement, based on the results achieved by each of them. The information system allow all management levels of Pastoral da Criança, from the communities to the National Management, to have permanent assessment over the results attained and better develop actions to accomplish the planned goals.
