To
maintain all its programs, the Pastoral da Criança
receives national and international support, both from
entities linked to the Church and from governmental
and non-governmental institutions. Among the several
organizations that offer technical and financial support
to the actions of Pastoral in health, nutrition, education
and citizenship matters, the Brazilian Ministry of Health
has provided at least 70% of the total financial costs
of Pastoral da Criança, since 1987. The largest
non-governmental supporter of the Pastoral da Criança
is "Criança Esperança", a program
produced by Globo Television Network (Rede Globo de
Televisão) in association with UNICEF, which
transfer part of the sponsored resources to the Pastoral
programs.
Pastoral
da Criança also gets technical and financial
support from ANAPAC the National Association of Friends
to the Pastoral da Criança (Associação
Nacional dos Amigos da Pastoral da Criança) which
gathers corporations and professionals from different
areas and starts agreements with cities and local corporations.
