Basic Actions |

This is the fundamental area of the project. For
that the actions of Pastoral da Criança have
the impact wanted all the volunteers of each risk
area are capacitated at the new Guia do Líder
(leader’s guide), to know well all the work
instruments of Pastoral da Criança, its methodology,
mystic and goals. Through this capacitation, they
also receive the orientations about the following
of pregnant women and children below six years of
age, main public of the activities of Pastoral da
Criança. |

Social Control |

To act well at the county health, social assistance,
child and adolescence rights councils; social leaderships
at risk areas are capacitated to follow the application
of resources, develop their own ways of participation
and social mobilization, adequate to the county
they live. |

Nutrition |
| |
The Segurança Alimentar (Nourishment Security)
and Nutricional Sustentável (Nutritionally
Sustainable) mobilize the communities for the improvement
of regional crops. Through this capacitation and
the sum of efforts with other entities or movements
of each local area, this area searches to help the
families at the access of good quality food. |

Communication |

The methodology of the Rede
de Comunicadores Solidários à Criança
(Net of Communicators Solidary to the Children)
is used at the risk areas to reinforce the social
mobilization and to transmit information that help
at the developing projects. The local media are
potentialized, through the capacitation of communicators
of each risk area, to amplify the share of knowledge
that it favors the family and comunitarian capacities. |

Research |

The scientific following of the actions of Pastoral
da Criança, at the risk areas selected for
the project Criança Viva 2002/2003, allows
the evaluation of the impact of the developed actions.
A team of researchers collects data about each risk
area before, during and after the implantation of
Pastoral da Criança. These informations allow
evaluate results and orientate new necessary paths.
